I think it’s actually a smart move since clothing that’s made for exercise tends to be made from superior fabrics. The materials are oftentimes superior in quality, durability, breathability, and comfortability. If I’m deciding between a tiny black skirt that’s made from a cheap material versus one that’s made from recycled polyester and spandex, you know which option is going straight into my cart. Not to mention, so many brands that are known for their purely functional activewear have a slew of more lifestyle offerings that you can wear just about anywhere. Athleta is definitely one of those brands—I mean just look at the Santorini Maxi Dress and the Retreat Wide Leg Linen Pant (I’m obsessed).
